Assess a dozen aspects of GRASS as a geo-processing framework, from the developer's perspective.
Dear Developer,

I am a GIS enthusiast and Computer Science student and I am writing you as I need your help within my MSc final project (thesis).

I prepared a short questionnaire I would really love you could complete.

Its aim is taking a snapshot of the current development of your preferred framework in regards to a number features I selected. More, the developer’s perceived relevance of such features – regardless of their current state of progress – can be expressed, so to get an hint of where the future developments might occur. Also free-text considerations can be added for each feature.

THE QUESTIONNAIRE PURPOSE

The questionnaire final goal is allowing me to perform a comparison between several geo-spatial processing frameworks from your perspective: the developer's one.

The idea is going beyond the usual Desktop GIS round-up, already available in literature, for building a feature matrix covering a number of technical details about those frameworks that allow effective development of new modules for processing spatial information. An attempt is also made to check whether the frameworks are particularly suitable for adoption in research environments.
